Bickel Block

Here's a photo from September 2006 showing the work beginning on the Bickel Block facade. Another photo of Bickel shows the corner detailing. This photo was taken before the brick wall along the left side of the building was demolished revealing original cast-iron columns and large storefronts. This photo taken in September 2006 shows Bickel's original cast-iron columns. This photo taken in November, 2006,  shows Bickel's unique 1880s facade. Closeup of Bickel's ornate facade. The unique facade of the Bickel Block will be restored.
The craftsmanship is evident on the Bickel Block facade. Detail of the fine craftmanship achieved in the Bickel Block. Venerable will restore all the fine details from each of the buildings. This bannister is in the Bickel Block. Bickel has large windows and high ceilings that will be restored. The high ceilings are prominent feature in the Bickel Block. Interior columns will be restored.

White Stag/Hirsch-Weiss

This is one of the first photos of work beginning in summer, 2006 on the White Stag Building. Only part of the windows have been removed in this photo. This shot from November, 2006 shows that all windows have been removed and will be replaced as work proceeds inside. The White Stag building's interior shows high ceilings and beams that will be restored. Another photo of the White Stag interior's light monitor on the fifth floor. The wood beams on the 5th floor, shown here, will be restored to add character and height to the spaces. Interiors will be restored with high ceilings and large industrial-style windows.

Skidmore Block

This before photo of Skidmore Building, located right on NW First, shows the unique facade that will be restored. The Skidmore Building in September, 2006 with windows removed and work started on the exterior. Skidmore Block has a great storefront that will be restored. Another view of the Skidmore interior before construction work started. Upper floors of the Skidmore Block have large windows with lots of light.
